August 2018 - Hoss Hessmin

A little something about myself… I was born and raised in Honduras (that’s in Central America). My passions are my two kids, soccer and cooking. I work at The Palm as the Executive Chef, and I truly love what I do!

What brought me to Nashletics… A (not so) funny story, actually… I had a crazy stalker at my other gym so I had to look for some other place to work out. Luckily I found a home here. P.s. I still see the stalker drive my house from time to time.

Favorite things to do… When I’m not at work, you will find me coaching my kids’ soccer teams. I’m also a huge Barcelona fan! I like playing chess and dining out to see what other chefs are doing.

What have I learned about myself since joining… I have learned how hard I can push myself, how motivating it is to work out with people you like, and that the mind gives up before the body.

A few things you may not know about me…

1. I hate my full name. No, it isn’t Hoss. And no, I won’t tell you it… Ever!

2. I was selected as one of the top 80 chefs in the country a few years ago and I used to travel around the world for the State Department as part of the Culinary Diplomacy Team of Chefs.

3. I was selected to play soccer for the Honduran National Team when I was 16yrs old.
