CROSSFIT LEVEL 1 TRAINER
Lindsay moved to Nashville from Birmingham, Alabama in the summer of 2016 where she began her CrossFit journey 3 years ago. Originally from Murray, Kentucky she stayed in Birmingham after her collegiate soccer days. Without the athletic requirements she had previously been handed to her every day, she knew something was now missing. A new personal routine was needed to keep up the life style of fitness created by playing organized sports. Joining a box was the beginning steps to getting her adult life in a healthy place, mentally and physically. The CrossFit values rebuilt a growing maturity and respect for herself; flaws and all.
CrossFit slowly became the foundation in which she regained her life altogether. Month by month things developed for the better and slowly she understood the importance of progression and patience. Whether it was losing 50 pounds of excess weight or minimizing long time chronic knee pain due to 5 surgeries, she grew to see CrossFit as her new guide to nutrition and overall fitness. Learning to listen to her body changed the way she looked at herself and helped to enhance a new perspective on competition. Lindsay competes with herself every day because it is her a way to ensure longevity and safety while pursuing a healthy passion.
After being L1 Certified in October she came on with CrossFit Melrose. Her focuses remain: passing on a life changing experience, uniting a supportive community, promoting hard work and a positive atmosphere. She enjoys 90’s playlists, red meats and white wine.
Her goals for the future with CrossFit include keeping her knees healthy, a handstand press, and continuing her education in health and wellness.
