WHAT IS CROSSFIT?
CrossFit is a constantly varied, high intensity program that uses functional movements. We train movements, not muscles. We have a different daily workout lasting about an hour that consists of a warmup, a strength or skill session then a high intensity metabolic conditioning workout ranging from 5-20 minutes. It doesn’t sound long, but the intensity will have you thinking otherwise. We operate on a group class basis to emphasize intensity and community.
WHAT MAKES CROSSFIT MELROSE DIFFERENT?
Our day-to-day CrossFit workouts is the biggest difference between CrossFit Melrose and other gyms. Not everyday is a competition and we focus on being better people, not necessarily better athletes. Our structure lends itself to practice in a lower intensity environment for practice, but also high intensity intervals for fat loss and increased conditioning. If you're always feeling beat up from CrossFit, try our program. Some days are for you to push yourself, but some days require more mental practice than physical intensity.
